Broad Pool and Bog

This is perhaps one of the best-known features in Gower, lying beneath Cefn Bryn in a shallow basin on the limestone plateau. It is considered to be a natural pool and was certainly known to have been present in 1645. It is a great place to spot lots of different aquatic plants, some rare in south Wales, including the lesser marshwort and alternate water-milfoil. You may also find waterfowl and wetland birds such as the grey heron and little grebe.
